Authorities detained a 42-year-old individual in police custody

In a significant development, a 42-year-old individual was arrested on Thursday, August 28th, in the Landwehrstraße area near Herrngarten, by the Hesse State Police Headquarters. The arrest was made around 8:00 PM, following a brief pursuit and a provisional arrest.

According to the press release issued by the Hessian State Police Headquarters, the suspect attempted to evade police control by fleeing on a bicycle and later on foot. However, the suspect was apprehended without resistance after a brief pursuit.

The Public Prosecutor's Office requested an arrest warrant from the Darmstadt District Court on Friday, August 29th. The judge ordered the execution of the remand in custody for the 42-year-old suspect.

During the processing, approximately 19 grams of cocaine were seized from the suspect, and the suspect's mobile phone was also confiscated. Moreover, it was discovered that the 42-year-old is also suspected of being in Germany illegally, as previously reported.
