Authorities seek bystanders to aid in investigating a robbery involving a gold necklace.
In Kamp-Lintfort, Germany, on Wednesday afternoon at around 14:30, an 80-year-old resident had her gold chain stolen. The incident occurred on Eyller Street.
According to reports from the Circular Police Authority Wesel, the theft was perpetrated by two women who approached the elderly woman, pretending to seek directions to the hospital. While the victim was explaining the route, the women deftly switched the gold chain for a piece of plastic jewelry and put a chain around her neck. Simultaneously, they made off with the stolen gold chain.
The suspects are described as approximately 25 to 30 years old, standing between 1.55 and 1.60 meters tall, with black hair, and speaking broken German. They were last seen driving away in a black car towards Moerser Street.
