Authorities seek individuals who may have witnessed an altercation involving physical assault.

In the heart of Celle, an incident involving two cyclists occurred on August 19, 2025, at around 5:55 PM, at the intersection of Südwall and Bergstraße. According to reports, a 73-year-old man was riding his bike on Südwall when he was kicked by another cyclist coming from Bergstraße.

The senior sustained minor injuries and several bystanders rushed to help him. The unknown cyclist, who passed through the intersection at high speed, managed to break free and fled over the street "Am Heiligen Kreuz" in an unknown direction.

The police are currently investigating the case for bodily harm and insults. They are also broadening their investigation to include potential additional crimes committed by the cyclist. The police are seeking to identify and apprehend the unknown cyclist and are looking for any additional witnesses to the incident.

A guest at the nearby restaurant, "Blauer Engel," tried to hold the unknown cyclist, causing him to fall and collide with a parked vehicle. The car involved in the collision sustained minor damage.

A couple has come forward, claiming they may have been attacked by the cyclist. The police are investigating the incident for potential additional victims. The unknown cyclist was also reported to have uttered insults towards the fallen man before continuing towards Wehlstraße.
