The police in Bochum are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a fraud case that took place on October 1, 2024, at the supermarket parking lot at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 116 in Witten-Rüdinghausen.

The suspect, who is a man, approached a 59-year-old man from Witten, claiming that he urgently needed money for his mother's funeral in Italy. The homicide squad is currently investigating the case, but the suspect's identity remains unknown.

The Criminal Investigation Unit KK 15 has requested any information that could help identify the unidentified suspect. The police have released photos of the suspect by court order, and the public is asked to recognise the man in the published photos.
