Authorities to Mend Exit Pit in Tomsk

In Tomsk, the city's infrastructure is seeing significant improvements with active road repairs and upgrades taking place across various areas.

According to the First Deputy Mayor of Tomsk, Nikolai Glebovich, work on the left bank is ongoing, and road repairs are expected to continue into the fall. The specifics of the work on the left bank are yet to be disclosed.

One of the busiest streets, Lenin Prospect, is not left behind in these developments. Driveway improvements and sidewalk beautification are being worked on, ensuring a smoother and more aesthetically pleasing journey for commuters.

The Chekistsky Trakt area has seen a surge in construction works this year, with road construction resuming in 2023. The works include pavement repair, road widening, and the installation of new traffic signals. As part of these repairs, updates were made to bus stops on Chekistsky Trakt, and in 2025, road repairs on this stretch included the installation of new sidewalks.

In 2025, road repairs on the approach to the Kommunalny Most were also carried out, including the laying of new asphalt. The top layer of asphalt and sidewalks is left to be completed on Nizhne-Lugovaya Street.

Final work is underway on Govarova Street to update the road surface, while on Govarova Street, the sidewalks are being updated as well.

Pothole repairs were carried out this summer on sections of the Balashikhinsky overpass, Koltsevaya Street, Michurina Street, Novosibirskaya Street, and Lenin Prospect.

Road repairs are still ongoing on Kievskaya Street, with the specifics of the work yet to be disclosed.

In a positive move for the city, 110 million rubles from the municipal budget will be allocated for pothole repairs in Tomsk in 2025. The areas targeted for these repairs include First Mostovaya Street, the area of Chekistsky Trakt, and the railway crossing.

These ongoing and planned road repairs and upgrades aim to improve the city's infrastructure and provide a smoother, safer, and more comfortable journey for Tomsk's residents and visitors.
