Authorities uncover extensive misconduct in motoryway checkpoints

In a recent operation, authorities focused on enforcing regulations regarding cargo securing, driving and rest periods, as well as combating drugs at the wheel. The checks, which took place between 10 am and 3 pm, saw both stationary and mobile inspections carried out on a total of 83 small trucks and 12 passenger cars.

During the operation, nine violations of road traffic regulations were found. Three drivers were suspected of being under the influence of drugs, and criminal charges were initiated against them. Two other drivers were found to be driving without a valid driver's license.

The operation also revealed five cases of inadequate cargo securing, and eleven violations of driving and rest period regulations were penalized. A 39-year-old VW driver was found to be in violation of the compulsory insurance law, as his vehicle no longer had valid insurance coverage.

Two individuals, a 34-year-old Golf driver and a 39-year-old Opel driver, were required to undergo a blood test. No information was provided about any violations related to compulsory insurance.

The individuals who committed offenses related to driving under the influence of drugs on Friday at the autobahns 3 and 45 near the Seligenstädter Dreieck appeared before the court. However, their specific names and details are not publicly disclosed.

The authorities emphasize the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to ensure the safety of all road users. They will continue to conduct regular checks to maintain a safe and secure road environment.
