Autumn arrives with a boom after the breezy summertime

Germany is set to experience a variety of weather conditions over the next few days, according to meteorological predictions.

Starting this week, Monday will see clear and dry weather across most of the country, except for a shower risk in the west. Temperatures will range from 19 to 24°C, with a chilly night in the southeast, where lows will be between 7 to 10°C, while the west remains milder at 13 to 17°C.

On Tuesday, the northeast will remain mostly dry with some sunshine, while the west will be cloudy with a risk of showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms. The temperature range will be similar to Monday.

Wednesday is expected to be warmer, with temperatures ranging from 17 to 25°C. However, heavy rain and local thunderstorms, especially in the west, may disrupt the pleasant weather.

Thursday will bring more sunshine, but scattered showers and strong winds at the North Sea. Temperatures will remain within the range of 19 to 24°C.

As we move towards the weekend, the focus of showers and rain is expected to shift from the southeastern part of the country to the north and northwest.

The weather on Friday will be similar to Thursday, with alternating sun and clouds, scattered showers, local thunderstorms, and some areas staying dry. Strong winds at the North Sea will persist.

High "Nina" is predicted to bring sunny weather and a lovely late summer to Germany this weekend.

Monday evening next week (September 22, 2025) is expected to be influenced by a high-pressure ridge, bringing predominantly dry and sunny conditions, especially in the south and east. However, any significant precipitation and storm activity are more likely associated with earlier passing fronts in mid-September, mainly affecting northern regions with rain and windy conditions before clearing.

On Monday night, dense fog is expected in the northeast and south, with potential local showers and thunderstorms. Strong winds will blow on the North Sea islands.

The unsettled weather is expected to be caused by Low "Walter" moving in from the west from Monday. Sunday evening will feature a lunar eclipse with mostly clear or starry skies in the southwest and east. The eclipsed moon will set over Germany around 19:31 PM on Monday night.
