Autumn brings a shift towards rock 'n' roll in Solingen's senior living community

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, St. Joseph Altenheim in Solingen recently hosted a musical concert that brought joy and entertainment to its residents. The event, funded by Lebensherbst, an initiative that supports seniors in care facilities and promotes cultural events, was a resounding success.

Simon Krebs, an entertainer and singer, graced the stage with his performance, delivering hits from artists such as Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, and Westernhagen. Petra Kroetzsch, honorary managing director of the association and initiator of the event, praised Simon's performance, describing it as professional and heartfelt.

The audience, including seniors, danced and rocked to the music, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Dirk Langenberg, director of the nursing home, acknowledged the efforts of Lebensherbst and the association's initiators, praising the good work of the entire social service team. Karina Kieroth, from the social care of the nursing home, expressed gratitude for the commitment of Lebensherbst and the support of Mariella Ahrens and Petra Kroetzsch.

Mariella Ahrens, actress, founder, and patron of Lebensherbst e. V., was thrilled with the successful event. As the chairwoman of Lebensherbst e.V., founded in 2000, Mariella shared that she grew up with her grandparents in Bulgaria and wants to give something back to the elderly.

The social service team of St. Joseph Altenheim is always active and has great future plans. They appreciate the commitment and support received from Lebensherbst and the association's initiatives. St. Joseph Altenheim looks forward to organizing similar events in the future.

The concert ended on a poignant note with "Yesterday" by the Beatles, moving the audience.
