The German Weather Service (DWD) has announced that the east and southeast regions of the country will continue to enjoy the best of summer weather, but this respite will be short-lived as rain showers move in.

Starting from Tuesday, rain showers will reach Dresden and Offenbach in Saxony. These showers will extend to the east of the country, making the weather changeable. Prolonged rain showers will affect Saxony, and the east of the country will experience these showers for at least part of Tuesday.

As the week progresses, the weather conditions in Dresden and Offenbach am Main will become cooler and more unstable compared to early September. Temperatures are expected to be between approximately 15°C and 22°C, with intermittent rain and cloudy conditions. Local showers or thunderstorms are possible during this period.

The rain showers are a sign that the meteorological autumn has begun. However, there is some good news on the horizon. The largest chances of sunshine in the east of the country will return on Wednesday, marking an improvement in the weather.

Despite the temporary setback, the east of the country is still experiencing another spell of summer weather. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts to prepare for any changes.
