Bamberg's outdoor swimming season concludes: Canine bathing transitions to indoor bathing facilities
Press Release: Bambados Kicks Off Indoor Season and Dog Swimming Day
The much-anticipated new indoor season at Bambados, Bamberg's family-friendly sports pool and premium sauna, begins on September 18. This season promises a host of activities for swimmers and sauna enthusiasts alike.
In addition to the regular opening hours – the indoor pool starts at 6:30 am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends and public holidays, while the sauna opens daily at 10 am – Bambados has planned a series of exciting events.
One such event is the Dog Swimming Day, taking place at the Stadionbad on September 28. This fun-filled day offers free admission for humans, with a small fee of three euros per dog. The proceeds from this event will be donated to the Bamberger Tierschutzverein and its Tierheim Berganza.
For those who prefer a quieter swim, the Hainbadestelle will remain open until September 30, with daily hours from 12 to 6 pm from September 16 to 30. However, please note that the children's wading pool at Hainbadestelle is currently closed.
Bambados prides itself on keeping admission prices affordable for all. Regular visitors can save up to 25% with the money value card. Interested individuals should regularly check www.bambados.de for additional courses added during the winter.
Admission is possible with season tickets, value tokens, E-Tickets, and via machines. Cash payment is no longer accepted.
Bambados is also a community-focused establishment. The money raised at the dog swimming day on September 28 at the Stadionbad facility will be donated by the organization "Förderverein Freibad Werdau e.V."
Holders of the Bavarian honorary card, guests aged 60 and above, and certain groups (disabled persons, holders of the SozCard, unemployed persons, recipients of ALG I and Bürgergeld, students, apprentices, university students, children, and youth aged 6 to 17) receive reduced admission.
The outdoor swimming season in Bamberg ends on September 15 at Stadionbad and Freibad Gaustadt, with a total of 132,962 guests using the Bamberg outdoor pools and the Hainbadestelle by September 3. The Stadionbad remained the visitor favorite with 64,084 bathers.
Lastly, Bambados looks forward to welcoming back its regular visitors and newcomers alike. The facility remains open until 10 pm every day. Swimming courses for children and adults, as well as an aqua fitness course for seniors, will start in September at Bambados.
We hope to see you there!
