Headline: The Grube Prinz von Hessen Quarry in Darmstadt-Ost is Now Safe for Bathing

The Grube Prinz von Hessen quarry in Darmstadt-Ost has good news for locals and visitors alike. After a year of dedicated efforts, the water quality in the quarry has shown significant improvement, and it is now safe for bathing.

Michael Kolmer, head of the Green space department, expressed his relief about the situation. He, along with the parking authority head, had implemented measures to contain the spread of cyanobacteria last year. These efforts, coupled with favourable weather conditions, are now showing positive results.

Professor Dr. Thomas Rohrlack, an expert who contributed to the control and combat of cyanobacteria, has been instrumental in this achievement. The improvement in water quality has been sustained, and the blue-green algae levels have dropped to a low risk level.

The all-clear for bathing in the quarry was issued in mid-August, and since then, the significant improvement in water quality has been observed. Unrestricted bathing in the quarry is now allowed.

However, it's important to note that any necessary adjustments to the measures taken will be made as needed. The water quality in the quarry will continue to be regularly monitored to ensure it remains safe for bathing.

So, pack your swimming gear and head to the Grube Prinz von Hessen quarry for a refreshing dip! Enjoy the clear, clean water and the beautiful surroundings. The quarry is now open for everyone to enjoy.
