Eintracht Frankfurt continued their strong start to the season with a 3-1 win against TSG Hoffenheim. Ritsu Doan (17' and 27') scored twice for Frankfurt, setting up Can Uzun (51') for another goal. Grischa Prömel scored a late consolation goal for Hoffenheim, but they were unable to come back from a 3-1 deficit.

Bayer Leverkusen drew 3-3 with Werder Bremen, despite holding a 3-1 lead and the opportunity for their first league win under new coach Erik ten Hag. The planned transfer of attacker Nicolas Jackson from Bayern Munich to FC Chelsea appears to be in jeopardy.
