In a dramatic clash at the Augsburg stadium, Bayern Munich narrowly edged past their opponents with a 3-2 victory. The game, attended by 30,660 spectators, saw FC Augsburg put up a valiant fight against the Bavarian giants.

The first half of the game was marked by a series of close calls and exciting moments. Marius Wolf came close to opening the scoring for Augsburg in the 4th minute, but his shot narrowly missed the mark, hitting the outside of the net. The deadlock was finally broken by Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, who scored his first goal for the club this season, courtesy of a cross from the left wing.

FC Augsburg responded swiftly, with Kristijan Jakic scoring a stunning direct shot to level the score at 1-1. The excitement continued as Serge Díaz restored Bayern's lead before the break, finishing confidently while falling.

In the second half, Bayern Munich extended their lead through Michael Olise's low shot, but Augsburg refused to back down. Kristijan Jakic netted his second goal of the game to make it 3-2, setting the stage for a thrilling finale.

Despite their best efforts, FC Augsburg could not find an equaliser. The game saw several key moments, including a collision between Robin Fellhauer and Bayern's Sacha Boey, which required Fellhauer to be treated on the pitch. Boey was shown a yellow card for his actions during the incident.

Notably, the game was played amidst reports suggesting a potential last-minute veto by FC Chelsea could jeopardise Bayern Munich's planned transfer of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson. Despite this, Bayern's offensive line, led by Serge Gnabry, Luis Díaz, and Michael Olise, proved too much for Augsburg to handle.

Sandro Wagner coached FC Augsburg, while Vincent Kompany led Bayern Munich. Despite the loss, Wagner's team showed great spirit and tenacity, making the game a memorable one for the fans in attendance.
