The ICE 3neo, a modern and innovative train of the DB, made its debut in passenger service in December 2022. This state-of-the-art train was built by Siemens Mobility in Krefeld and has already been delivering exceptional performance.

The ICE 3neo is not just a train; it's a symbol of progress and innovation. It was christened at Düsseldorf's main station, track 20, in a grand ceremony that included Minister President Hendrik Wüst, Mayor Stephan Keller, Düsseldorf's Prince Couple, CC President Lothar Hörning, DB long-distance passenger transport board member Michael Peterson, delegations from various carnival clubs, and members of the state parliament. The train was christened with Altbier, a traditional Düsseldorf beer, marking a significant milestone.

The ICE 3neo bears the logo "200 Years Düsseldorf Carnival" and a drawing by Jacques Tilly, paying homage to the city's rich cultural heritage. The train, named "Düsseldorf", has been in service since February 26th.

The ICE 3neo is set to revolutionize travel, particularly on connections to neighboring countries. Deployment of the ICE 3neo is expected to significantly reduce train failures, ensuring smoother and more reliable journeys for passengers.

For passengers, the train offers a host of comforts. Each seat is equipped with power outlets, tablet holders, and mobile phone-compatible windows. The train also features reservation displays with colored LED lights, a light ambiance that changes with the time of day, and a robust lift for barrier-free entry.

The ICE 3neo will regularly run between Frankfurt and Amsterdam, stopping in Düsseldorf. It will also be available in the Netherlands and Belgium in time for the start of the football European Championship in June 2024.

With more than 24 of the total 90 ordered ICE 3neo trains already delivered, the ICE 3neo is an important part of the renewal of the long-distance fleet. The remaining ICE 3neo trains will be delivered in the coming years, promising a brighter future for long-distance travel in Europe.
