On Wednesday, October 24, 2024, a car break-in occurred in the city of Salzgitter, Germany, specifically on Neißestraße. The incident took place between 14:40 and 15:05, and the perpetrators smashed the rear window of a 56-year-old resident's car parked in the supermarket parking lot.

The stolen items were a large quantity of tobacco products, which the victim had recently purchased in Braunschweig. The estimated total damage from the car break-in is approximately €2,500.
