Berlin's Bathing Operations have announced the reopening of indoor pools across the city, signalling the beginning of the indoor swimming season in Berlin. The reopening dates for these pools were revealed earlier this week.

The indoor pools, located in various districts of the city, include the Stadtbäder Mitte and Lankwitz, among others. The Stadtbad Tempelhof indoor pool will reopen to the public from Monday, September 8, 2025, to Sunday, September 14, 2025, with swimming hours from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and school, club, and course activities in the evenings. However, the reopening dates for other pools after school start are not explicitly listed.

Thirteen indoor pools are set to reopen the week after school starts, according to a spokesperson for the Bathing Operations. The Stadtbad Neukölln is also among the indoor pools that will reopen.

While the reopening of the indoor pools marks a new beginning, it also signifies the end of the summer swimming season. Outdoor pools in Berlin are now closing for the season. Some pools have extended their summer season by a few days, but the closing dates for these pools have been announced by Berlin's Bathing Operations.

It is worth noting that short-term changes in closing dates may still be possible due to weather conditions. No specific reasons for the reopening of indoor pools were provided, and no specific details about the reasons for the pool closures were disclosed.

The pools in Kreuzberg and the Kombibad Gropiusstadt will close at the end of September, while the Bath at the Olympic Stadium and the Strandbad Wannsee plan to close on September 21. The pools that closed on Sunday include Wilmersdorf, Am Insulaner, Neukölln, the summer pool of Kombibad Seestraße, and Kinder Sommerbad Monbijou.

As the city prepares for the transition from summer to autumn, the reopening of indoor pools provides a much-needed opportunity for Berliners to continue their swimming activities indoors. The staff of Berlin's Bathing Operations will return to the indoor pools after the end of the summer season to ensure a smooth and safe indoor swimming experience for all.
