BHC Departs Temporarily but Swiftly Returns
The Business and Health Club (BHC) has secured an uninterrupted preparation period before the start of the upcoming season, following the resolution of a challenging hall-related issue.
After a rigorous search, the BHC has confirmed that they will be using the Max-Schmeling-Halle for their training sessions. This decision comes after the club coached by Arnor Gunnarsson and Markus Pütz reached an agreement regarding equipment removal from a gym, which was previously shared with an unspecified party.
The agreement, which will last until the summer of 2026, has enabled the BHC to vacate the training center owned by Michael Köhler, who had demanded an annual fee of 160,000 euros for contract renewal. The economic necessities were the reason behind Köhler's demand, but the details of the new agreement will not be made public.
The BHC returned the equipment after the agreement and can now focus on the duels against top teams after returning to the Bundesliga. The team's first match will be against the German champions, Füchse Berlin, on Sunday, 31st August 2025, at the Max-Schmeling-Halle (3 PM).
The search for an alternative hall in the Solingen Canal Street was difficult due to the unavailability of halls in the Bergisches Land. However, the problem is now resolved, and the BHC will also be hosting HC Erlangen at the Uni-Halle on 3rd September 2025, at 7 PM.
Michael Köhler, despite demanding a hefty fee, remains a supporter of the BHC women's team in the 2nd league and the youth department. Köhler's support for the club is evident, as he has been a member of the BHC's marketing GmbH.
As the BHC prepares for the upcoming season, the team's dedication and determination are evident. With the newfound focus and a suitable training venue, the club is poised to make a strong comeback to the Bundesliga.
