The small town of Marburg, Germany, is gearing up for an exciting sports event as it hosts the first Marburg Biathlon Relay City Championship on September 13th. This event is part of the Biathlon Germany Tour, which will take place at the Erwin Piscator House.

Four shooting ranges will be managed by the agency inMOTION, ensuring a smooth and efficient competition. Participants can expect an action-packed day, with individual and team competitions taking place from 11 am to 2 pm. No preregistration is required for the individual competition, making it accessible to everyone.

For those who wish to compete in the relay championship, prior registration is necessary and is already possible. Clubs, companies, families, friends, and institutions are invited to participate with teams of four persons. Practice shooting for everyone will take place at the biathlon arena on the event day from 11 am to 2 pm. Free registration is possible until September 3rd via the following link: Register Here.

The finale of the event will include a biathlon weekend, with the winner competing against stage winners from other tour cities. The tour champion will win a two-person trip with half-board at the four-star Goebel's Castle Hotel Prinz von Hessen. Additionally, the daily winner of the competition will receive two free tickets for the upcoming biathlon world cup in Oberhof on January 8th or 9th, 2026.

The Biathlon event uses infrared technology instead of snow and real ammunition, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The CardioBiathlon duel will also take place, simulating the double poling technique of classic cross-country skiing.

The Marburg Biathlon event is open to everyone, regardless of prior biathlon knowledge. The winner of the Marburg Biathlon event will be trained by Olympic champion Michael Roesch in cross-country skiing and small-bore rifle shooting.

The winner of the Marburg Biathlon event will compete in a finale in March 2026 at the biathlon world cup venue of Oberhof in the Thuringian Forest. Registration for the competition will take place on September 13th at the Biathlon Tour stand.
