Bicyclist harmed while traversing mountains close to Almaty
In the picturesque landscape of Zailiisky Alatau, a dramatic rescue operation was initiated by the BAU control and rescue post after a young man sustained injuries while mountain biking.
The incident, reported by Liter.kz, left the cyclist unable to move independently, and a hand injury with suspicion of a fracture was confirmed. The rescue team, equipped for the mission, dispatched from the BAU control and rescue post was a specialized mountain rescue unit of five personnel.
Within an hour, the rescuers managed to lower the injured individual to the eco-post, where a rapid medical assistance team took over. Fortunately, the individual's condition is reported as satisfactory, although no further information is provided about their current state.
It is worth noting that a landslide in the same region has been reported earlier, but it remains unclear if this incident is related to the one involving the mountain biker.
