Bicyclist shatters automobile window following a crash.
On August 25, 2025, a traffic accident involving a cyclist and a parked Ford S-Max occurred on Am Krugplatz street in Lippe. The cyclist, a 41-year-old woman from Detmold, was injured in the incident.
Emergency services transported the woman to a hospital following the accident. Remarkably, her injuries were minor, primarily due to her wearing a bicycle helmet. The helmet shattered the car's rear window during the accident.
The Lippe Police are urging all cyclists and e-scooter users to use bicycle helmets for safety reasons. This recommendation is supported by evidence that wearing a helmet can save lives and reduce injury severity in accidents.
