In a series of recent events, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has found himself at the centre of a legal dispute and renewed political scrutiny.

Hunter Biden is currently suing Patrick Byrne, the former CEO of Overstock.com, for making false claims about his alleged interactions with the Iranian government. The lawsuit comes as Biden prepares for the expected beginning of court proceedings in a Los Angeles federal court, days before the lawsuit is set to begin.

Biden has also been making waves in the political sphere, appearing on Jaime Harrison's podcast "At Our Table." During the interview, Biden criticised several high-profile figures, including George Clooney, James Carville, and David Axelrod.

Clooney, a vocal supporter of Joe Biden, had previously called for the President to drop his presidential bid in an opinion piece in The New York Times. Biden did not hold back, blasting Clooney for his criticism and endorsing Kamala Harris, who ultimately lost to former President Trump.

In the same interview, Biden also criticised Clooney's opinions on the Democratic Party's nominee. Clooney had since supported Biden for a second term but changed his stance after the 2024 debate.

Biden also took aim at James Carville, adviser to former President Bill Clinton, for not running a race in 40 years. Carville did not immediately comment on Biden's criticisms.

David Axelrod, former Obama strategist, was also criticised by Biden for having one success in his political life and that being Barack Obama. Axelrod, like Carville, did not comment on Biden's criticisms.

Anita Dunn, another long-time Democratic advisor, was criticised by Biden for making $40 to $50 million off of work for the Democratic Party. Dunn did not immediately comment on Biden's criticisms.

Tommy Vietor, a former Obama aide, applauded Hunter Biden's decision to look inward and hold himself accountable for his family's approach to politics.

Amidst the criticisms, Biden has maintained that his father's age did not affect his mental capacity to perform his job. This statement comes after Joe Biden's decision to pardon his son, sparing him a possible prison sentence for federal felony gun and tax convictions. The pardon occurred in the waning days of Joe Biden's administration.

Hunter Biden also suggested that his father's debate performance may have been affected by Ambien, a medication given to help him sleep following trips to Europe and a fundraiser.

Despite the controversies, Biden expressed his opposition to the presidential debate that took place and stated that he believes his father, Joe Biden, could have won the 2024 presidential election.

As the legal proceedings and political fallout continue, the public eye remains fixed on the Biden family, awaiting further developments in this evolving story.
