Bike riders sustain severe injuries due to road collision
In two separate incidents over the weekend of September 6-7, traffic accidents involving motorcycles occurred in the cities of Troisdorf and Much, both located in the Rhein-Sieg District.
On Saturday, September 6, at approximately 5:15 PM, a traffic accident took place on Langbaurghstraße in Troisdorf-Spich. The incident involved a Honda motorcycle and a Hyundai car. The rider of the Honda, a 61-year-old Cologne resident, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver of the Hyundai is suspected of causing bodily harm by negligence in the traffic accident.
The Traffic Commission of the Police in the Rhein-Sieg District has initiated investigations into the cause of the accident. Both vehicles involved in the accident were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters is the authority responsible for these investigations, and the Traffic Commission is aiming to determine the cause of the accident and any potential negligence on the part of the drivers involved.
On Sunday, September 7, at approximately 11:30 AM, another traffic accident occurred on Kreisstraße 31 in Much. This time, a Ducati motorcycle was involved. The rider of the Ducati, a 48-year-old Cologne resident, also sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The motorcycle involved in the accident had to be towed away.
The Traffic Commission is also investigating the cause of this accident. The Rhein-Sieg District Police are conducting investigations into both accidents, and the results do not provide any information about the identity of the driver involved in the Saturday accident in Troisdorf who is suspected of bodily harm by violating driving conditions in a traffic accident.
