Black Sabbath aimed to orchestrate the most momentous heavy metal event ever, and their final Back to The Beginning mega-concert funded a significant £140 million for charity organizations.

In a historic night of music and charity, Black Sabbath's final gig, "Back To The Beginning" metal mega-gig, held at Birmingham's Villa Park on July 5, was an unprecedented success. The event, which brought together some of the biggest names in rock, raised an astounding £140 million for local charities.

The star-studded lineup included Guns 'N Roses, Slayer, Tool, Metallica, Pantera, and various mash-up supergroups featuring members of Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Living Colour, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Aerosmith. The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood also made a guest appearance.

Tom Morello, Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine guitarist, served as the event's musical director and expressed his gratitude to Ozzy Osbourne for trusting him with the musical direction of the show in a heartfelt Instagram post. The post, which included a photo related to the event, was a testament to the labor of love that went into organising the gig.

Metallica, who performed at the gig, included Black Sabbath covers in their set, paying tribute to the ALL TIME greats. Many great musicians, bands, and fans paid tribute to the legends throughout the night.

The funds raised will be used to improve emergency departments, provide entertainment activities for children, build a new cinema, and purchase equipment at the Birmingham Children's Hospital, Cure Parkinson's, and Acorns Children's Hospice. The person responsible for distributing the donations, Adam Harrison, announced the charity donation.

Birmingham Children's Hospital expressed their gratitude for being a beneficiary of the gig, stating that the funds will make a significant difference in the lives of many children. Cure Parkinson's and Acorns Children's Hospice also expressed their appreciation for the generous donation.
