The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as BMW prepares to unveil its latest masterpiece - the new BMW M5 Touring. This high-performance estate car, set to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month, is a testament to BMW's commitment to innovation and performance.

For the first time in 14 years, BMW is introducing an M5 Touring. Under the hood, it houses the same 717bhp V8 PHEV powertrain as its saloon counterpart, making it a formidable force on the road. This powertrain, coupled with a plug-in hybrid system, allows the M5 Touring to travel up to 43 miles in electric-only mode.

The new M5 delivers an impressive 717bhp, ensuring a thrilling driving experience. To handle this power, the M5 Touring features a bespoke suspension system with coil springs and adaptive dampers, providing exceptional handling and stability.

Rear-wheel steering and a wider track (front and back) further enhance the vehicle's agility, making it a joy to drive, whether on country roads or city streets.

BMW has equipped the new M5 with new brake discs, with optional ceramic brakes for enhanced stopping power. The new M5 Touring will be available for the first UK customer deliveries in November, priced at £112,500, £2,000 more than the M5 Saloon.

The next generation M5 is not just about power and performance; it's also about sustainability. As a plug-in hybrid, it offers a more environmentally friendly driving option without compromising on performance.

BMW had a successful run with the M3 Touring, defying the global trend towards SUVs. The M5 Touring is set to continue this success story, offering the performance and dynamics of a sports car in a practical estate package.

The M5 Touring will make its North American debut at the Monterey Car Week on 15 August 2024, further cementing BMW's position as a leader in the high-performance car market. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new vehicle!
