Börde Police Station in Action: Events Unfolding Inside the Precincts

In the small town of Groeningen and its surrounding areas, two significant incidents have occurred within the past week.

Firstly, a burglary took place on August 16-17, 2025, at a single-family home on Damaschkeweg. The stolen items include a vacuum robot, a speaker, and a laptop. The exact circumstances of the break-in are currently under investigation, and no information about the perpetrators is known at this time. Witnesses with information about the incident are asked to contact the police in Haldensleben at Tel.: 03904/4780.

Secondly, on August 17, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the country road between Ivenrode and Hörsingen. The accident involved a Mazda car driven by a 20-year-old. The car left the roadway in a left curve and drove into a ditch. As a result, the wheel and wheel suspension were torn off, causing the car to overturn several times. The driver suffered a shock, but no serious injuries were reported. An investigation has been initiated against the driver for endangering traffic due to mental or physical impairment.

In addition to these incidents, several suspicious calls from alleged police officers have been reported to the police station in Haldensleben in the past week. The callers claim to be from the police and state that a known Romanian burglary gang has committed crimes in the area. However, the police do not call citizens to collect information about their living and financial situation. If unsure about a suspicious phone call, contact the police station in Börde at Tel. 03904/4780.

It is important to note that if you receive such calls, do not provide any personal data or household information, as these calls are from false police officers. The police would never ask for such information over the phone.

The total damage from both incidents is in the mid-four-digit range, and a trace search and securing of evidence were conducted at both scenes. The burglars gained entry through a terrace door, and there were no indications of alcohol or drug consumption in the traffic accident.

As the investigations continue, the community is reminded to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the local police. If you have any information regarding the burglary on Damaschkeweg or the traffic accident on the country road between Ivenrode and Hörsingen, please contact the appropriate authorities.
