Border Control: Highway Violators Identified and Detained

The German Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf has announced the arrest of three Polish citizens for various traffic-related offenses. The press spokesperson for the Bundespolizei-Inspektion Ludwigsdorf, Michael Engler, is responsible for media inquiries at the station and can be contacted at 0 35 81 - 3626-6110, via email at [email protected], or on the website www.bundespolizei.de.

One of the arrested individuals, a 48-year-old Polish traveler, was apprehended for driving under the influence and settled a 2,000.00 euro debt with the Bayreuth Local Court. The arrest warrant for this individual was issued by the Görlitz Local Court, suspecting him of theft with weapons.

Another individual, a 46-year-old Pole, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident without permission and owing 750.00 euros to the Frankfurt court. The debt for this Pole arose from a verdict from the Dillenburg Local Court. The Bautzen Local Court had previously ordered the payment of a fine for the same individual for driving without a license. Due to the outstanding fine and the arrest warrant for suspected theft with weapons, the 46-year-old Pole was taken to prison.

A 34-year-old Polish citizen was arrested at the Görlitz city bridge for driving without a license and failing to pay a 1,600.00 euro fine. This individual had previously avoided paying an outstanding fine of an unspecified amount. In the presence of the officers, the Polish citizen paid 1,581.00 euros to the court to settle the outstanding fine.

A Slovak (27) was also arrested for driving without a license near Görlitz. The Slovak had previously avoided paying an outstanding fine of an unspecified amount.

The Federal Police, as part of reinstated border controls, arrested these three convicted traffic offenders. The Görlitz Public Prosecutor's Office, branch office Bautzen, issued a warrant for the Polish citizen.

The information was transmitted via news aktuell from the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf.
