Border Incident: Woman Assaulted and Jewelry Stolen; Windows Shattered by Intruders

In Herborn, burglars stole jewelry worth approximately €3,000 from a single-family home in Kallenbachstraße between 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM on January 1. The burglars caused about €400 in damage and escaped through the terrace door and over a garden fence. The Herborn police are now accepting witness statements regarding the burglary.
On the same night, a 24-year-old from Ehringshausen damaged a glass window of his residence, causing cuts to his face and arms. Due to the intervention of a passerby, the man stopped and fled the scene. The man spent the night in the Dillenburg police holding cells and is now facing investigations for assault, property damage, and resisting arrest.
In a separate incident in Ehringshausen, an uncooperative resident was under the influence of intoxicating substances. No specific details about the incident were available, but there were no reports of injuries or arrests.
