Bottle Attack and Physical Assault in BPOL NRW
In the early hours of June 26th, an altercation took place outside a fast-food restaurant at Dortmund Central Station. According to DB Security employees, the incident was reported at around 1:40 AM.
Upon arrival, officers found a man, known to the police, being restrained by security staff. A 33-year-old witness claimed to have seen the man, who is now a suspect in the incident, strike a 23-year-old with a glass bottle.
The victim, present during the encounter, had a severe head wound. In self-defense, the victim used the bottle he was holding to strike his attacker. The man, in turn, was also reported to have choked the victim during the altercation.
The victim was treated by paramedics, but a hospital examination was not necessary. The Federal Police issued a ban on the premises for both aggressors and secured surveillance video footage.
