Buenos Aires 2025 Election Results from the Electoral Board: Insights on the Outcome

In the heart of Argentina, the province of Buenos Aires is bracing for the first electoral results of the 2025 provincial elections. Polling stations closed at 6 PM, and the count began, with the first results expected to be known after 21:00 hours, provided that at least 30% of the tables from all electoral sections have been counted.

Among the candidates, Verónica Magario, the candidate for senator for Patria Force, cast her vote in San Justo. On the other hand, Guillermo Montenegro, the candidate of La Libertad Avanza for the fifth electoral section, also exercised his right to vote in the afternoon of this Sunday.

The President is awaiting the first electoral results, which are expected to be known around 21:00 hours. In a show of solidarity, the President is expected to arrive by land and accompanied by his sister, Karina Milei, at the LLA headquarters around 20:00 hours.

However, controversy surrounds Karina Milei, the Secretary General of the Government, as an intervention with a pen appeared on the voter registry displayed at the entrance of the educational institution where she voted. "3%" was written next to her name, a reference to the percentage that, according to clandestine recordings with signs of editing, she would have received within the framework of an alleged corruption maneuver.

Article 137 of Provincial Electoral Law No. 5109 establishes a fine of $50 to $500 for voters who do not cast their vote and do not justify their absence before the Electoral Board, and the offender may be registered in the Register of Offenders for the duty to vote. The fines collected are used to promote public education in the respective districts.

As the election day comes to a close, citizens who cannot fulfill their civic duty to vote must justify their absence with a document that certifies their inability to vote within 60 days of the respective election.

Meanwhile, some candidates, such as Sergio Massa and Javier Milei, are heading to their respective party headquarters. Maximo Kirchner has not yet confirmed his presence at the speech, while the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicilloff, will give a speech tonight, starting at 22:00 hours.

Jorge Tiana, the national deputy candidate for Fatherland, thanked Buenos Aires residents for ensuring peaceful elections where they can express the popular will. The results will be accessible via the website and the 2025 Buenos Aires elections app.

As the night unfolds, the people of Buenos Aires wait with bated breath for the first electoral results, hoping for a fair and transparent process that reflects the will of the people.
