Building of a new refuse management facility in Ergoldsbach
New Waste Collection Center Coming to Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn
The regions of Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn are set to receive a new joint waste collection center, marking the first of its kind in the area. The new facility, spanning an area of 2,400 m², is anticipated to be operational by the end of November or early December of this year.
The site for the new center has been secured on St 2615 (formerly B15), near the roundabout in Ergoldsbach. A spacious access road from the St 2615/B15 to the waste collection center will be constructed, and a left-turn lane from Neufahrn will also be created to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The current waste collection centers in both communities have become inadequate to handle the increased demands, making the construction of this new facility a much-needed development. The new center is well-equipped for future tasks, with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure efficient waste management.
During the construction phase, a full closure of approximately a week will be required for the road resurfacing with a new layer on St 2615. A half-closure with traffic light regulation is planned for the construction of the left-turn lane. The responsible parties aim to minimize disruptions on St 2615 during the construction of the waste collection center.
The costs for the new waste collection center amount to approximately one million euros. The Landshut district has decided to invest in this project to improve waste management in the region and to better serve the growing needs of the communities.
After commissioning, the waste collection center's opening hours will be extended to optimize the use of existing personnel. The glass containers in both communities will remain at their current locations.
For more detailed information or official updates on the project, it is recommended to contact the respective municipalities or the Landkreis Landshut. The responsible parties are committed to keeping the public informed about the progress of the construction and the expected opening date of the new waste collection center.
