The Hilgenfeld quarter, a promising new city development in Frankfurt, is gearing up for its crucial phase. With the construction infrastructure, transportation routes, and container offices already in place, the project is set to make a significant impact on urban development in the city.

If implemented as planned, the Hilgenfeld quarter could serve as a model for sustainable urban development, boasting numerous green spaces, green inner courtyards, and plaza-like outdoor spaces. The quarter will feature a variety of residential buildings, making it an attractive option for diverse communities.

The city planning office responsible for the planning and realization of the climate-neutral district "Hilgenfeld" is the City of Frankfurt am Main, City Planning Office. They organized an urban planning ideas competition that laid the foundation for the development plan procedure for Hilgenfeld. The project itself is being realized by the municipal housing company ABG Frankfurt Holding.

The start of the high-rise construction work is scheduled for mid-2025, with the full completion expected by 2027. In the south, the new city quarter borders a quarter with row houses. Along the "Im Hilgenfeld" street, new residential space was created several years ago.

Earthworks are initially the focus of the construction phase, with excavations and foundation preparation necessary. Building materials are already partially available at the Hilgenfeld site. Currently, asphalt work on the streets is being carried out to create transport routes for the upcoming construction work.
