Burkina Faso Kicks Off Second Superbes Coders Training Program
The "Superbes Coders 2025" program has been launched in Burkina Faso, marking the second edition of this initiative aimed at empowering young girls through digital education. The program, which targets 400 girls from Ouagadougou, Koudougou, and Bobo-Dioulasso, is currently conducting training sessions.
The 2025 edition of Superbes Coders is built upon the success of the 2024 pilot phase. It is designed to strengthen the digital skills of the selected girls, aged between 15 and 18 years old, and prepare them to become future leaders in Burkina Faso's digital transformation.
The training sessions are taking place in three key locations: Ouagadougou, Koudougou, and Bobo-Dioulasso. These sessions are part of an ongoing effort to introduce digital tools to the young participants and stimulate creativity among them.
The program was launched in collaboration between the Ministry of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications and Orange Digital Center. The official launch took place on September 1 in Ouagadougou. The second part of the Superbes Coders 2025 program in Burkina Faso was initiated by the Dutch development organization Wilde Ganzen.
The Superbes Coders 2025 program promotes greater inclusion of women in Burkina Faso's digital economy. By equipping young girls with digital fundamentals, the program aims to create a more diverse and inclusive digital landscape in the country.
As the training sessions continue, the selected girls are being immersed in a world of coding and digital innovation. The program's ultimate goal is to empower these young women, fostering their growth and development as they navigate the digital world and contribute to Burkina Faso's digital transformation.
