The city of Gießen is set to renovate the inbound bus stop "Waldweiße" on Frankfurter Street, making it barrier-free, starting on August 1, 2025. Due to this renovation, there will be changes to the bus services, particularly for lines 1 and the night bus line Saturn.

For updates on detours and changes to the timetable, passengers can call 0641 708-1400 or visit www.stadtwerke-our website/verkehrshinweise. Alternatively, information can be obtained by emailing mobizentrale@stadtwerke-our website or by visiting the RMV Mobility Center Gießen in the SWG Customer Center at the market place. The RMV Mobility Center is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.

Starting on August 1, trips on line 1 that have "Waldweiße" as their final stop will end and start at the "Schulgärten" stop. Due to the construction-related one-way closure of Frankfurter Street, bus line 1 will not be able to serve the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule" stop in both directions in Lützellinden Street.

In the affected areas, the night bus line Saturn will temporarily run to the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (South)" stop during the renovation. Unfortunately, the night bus line Saturn will not serve the stops "Leihgesterer Weg", "Natural Sciences", and "Unterhof" during the renovation.

Passengers can transfer to a taxi from "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (South)" to reach city districts of Allendorf and Lützellinden. All trips to and from Allendorf and Lützellinden on line 1 will go via Frankfurter Street and Allendorf Street to the next stop, "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (South)".

The "Waldweiße" loop will not be available during the renovation. Instead, the stops "Petrus Church" in Wartweg and "Röntgen Street" in Röntgen Street will be served by the night bus line Saturn.

The construction traffic light on Frankfurter Street may cause delays for bus line 1. Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time during this period. The timetable for bus lines 1 and the night bus line Saturn in Gießen will change starting August 1, 2025, in connection with the new school year timetable adjustments in the district of Gießen. Specific details about these lines were not found in the provided results; the changes and detailed new timetables will be available from the Verkehrsgesellschaft Oberhessen (VGO) around mid-August 2025 on their website and likely local information points such as the RMV Mobility Center in Gießen.

The renovation is expected to be completed by September 26, 2025. The outbound bus stop at "Waldweiße" will not be affected by the renovation.

Stay informed and plan your journey accordingly to ensure a smooth commute during the renovation period. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, visit www.stadtwerke-our website/verkehrshinweise or contact the RMV Mobility Center Gießen.
