In an innovative move to combat labor shortages, Japan is integrating robots into various facilities, with the Es Con Field Hokkaido stadium being one such example. The stadium, home to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters professional baseball team, has introduced a work assistance robot named "Suppot".

The robot "Suppot" is designed to transport beer kegs, easing the workload of the staff. It can carry up to 60 beer kegs, and its unique feature is its ability to detect and automatically follow its user.

Yamato Holdings Co., a parcel delivery group, manages the operations of the robots at the Es Con Field Hokkaido stadium. The company is also considering expanding the use of robots beyond the stadium. An official from Yamato Holdings Co. expressed hope that the robots will be used in other locations.

Another robot, designed for selling food and drinks to spectators, is currently being tested. Yamato Holdings Co. is involved in the testing of this robot as well.

The integration of robots at the Es Con Field Hokkaido stadium is not an isolated incident. Japan is using robots for transportation and sales at office buildings, apartments, stadiums, and other large-scale facilities. This strategy is being employed by companies in Japan to improve business efficiency.

The country is exploring ways for robots and humans to work together to enhance productivity. The use of robots for transportation and sales is being explored for potential expansion to other locations. "Suppot" serves as an example of how robots are being integrated into large-scale facilities in Japan, and how they are contributing to addressing labor shortages and improving business efficiency.
