Bwin, under the management of Entain, secures the title of the NFL's official sports betting partner in Spain
NFL Makes History in Spain with bwin Partnership
The National Football League (NFL) is making history in Spain as it announces a partnership with Entain's bwin brand. This groundbreaking deal marks the first time an NFL game will be played in Spain, with the Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins set to square off at Real Madrid's BernabeΓΊ Stadium in Madrid.
Bwin has also been designated as the Official Sports Betting Partner of the NFL in Spain. This isn't the first agreement between bwin and the NFL; the brand already serves as the league's official sports betting partner in Germany and Austria.
For Entain, this deal presents an opportunity to grow its presence in Spain, which has become one of its key markets. As part of the partnership, bwin will work closely with the NFL to promote football in Spain and engage local fans.
In addition to the Madrid game, bwin will serve as the official sports betting partner for Super Bowl LX in Spain. To bring Spanish fans closer to the sport, bwin will launch exclusive activations, special promotions, and personalized content.
The Detroit Lions have also joined the partnership wave, confirming BetMGM as the team's first Official Sports Betting Partner. Similarly, the NFL has formed a similar deal with Paddy Power in the UK and Ireland, ahead of the first game to take place on Irish soil.
Curry Sloan, Entain's managing director for Canada, Iberia, and Latin America, called the partnership between bwin and the NFL an "exciting milestone". Bret Gosper, the NFL's head of Europe and APAC, thanked bwin for being its partner ahead of the historic NFL game in Madrid.
This partnership marks a historic moment for Spanish sports as Spain prepares to host its first NFL game ever. The event is set to be a significant milestone in the growing popularity of American football in Spain.
