Caesars Introduces Land-Based Sports Betting in Oregon Through Tribe Collaboration
Caesars Enters Oregon's Retail Sports Betting Market with Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Partnership
Caesars Entertainment has made its debut in Oregon's sports betting market with a partnership with the Coquille Indian Tribe. The collaboration, which was announced on May 20, 2025, allows Caesars to operate sports betting at the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Coos Bay, Oregon.
The Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, previously known as The Mill Casino, is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe and operated through the Coquille Economic Development Corporation. This partnership marks the first time Caesars has entered Oregon's retail sports betting market.
The launch of Caesars Sportsbook at Ko-Kwel Casino Resort coincided with the casino's 30th anniversary celebration on May 19. The event saw the first ceremonial wager being placed, signifying the official start of sports betting operations at the venue.
Caesars Sportsbook kiosks are now available across the gaming floor, offering a variety of betting options, including live in-play wagers, same game parlays, futures, and player props. The sportsbook's launch reflects Caesars' ongoing expansion into tribal and regional markets across the U.S.
To ensure responsible gambling, Caesars has partnered with IC360 to integrate its ProhiBet compliance technology into the sportsbook platform at Ko-Kwel Casino Resort. This system tracks restricted bettors in real time, enhancing the safety and integrity of the sports betting experience.
Margaret Simpson, CEO of the Coquille Economic Development Corporation, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership with Caesars. She looks forward to creating more memorable sports wagering experiences for guests with Caesars. The partnership aligns with both brands' commitment to advancing gaming opportunities and enhancing guest satisfaction.
Caesars remains committed to supporting Indian gaming and expanding its presence in tribal markets. Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, expressed pride in partnering with the Coquille Indian Tribe to bring their sports wagering offering to a new jurisdiction.
At present, mobile betting is not available at Oregon's Caesars Sportsbook. However, the partnership between the Coquille Indian Tribe and Caesars aims to offer an expansive menu of sports wagering markets to enhance the guest experience at Ko-Kwel Casino Resort.
This partnership is part of Oregonβs broader tribal gaming framework under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, allowing tribal casinos to offer sports betting alongside other gaming activities. The entry of Caesars into Oregon's sports betting market further diversifies the state's gaming landscape, offering residents and visitors more choices for entertainment.
