Canon Germany is set for a new leadership as Markus Naegeli takes over the reins from Rainer Fuhrés, effective August 30, 2025. Naegeli, who has been with Canon for over two decades, has held various international leadership roles within the company.

Naegeli began his career at Canon Switzerland in 2002, where he served as CEO from 2007 to mid-2015. He then moved on to become the Executive Vice President at Canon’s EMEA headquarters in London, overseeing B2B office business and strategic transformation projects. From 2015 to 2018, he led the company in London before returning as CEO of Canon Switzerland in late 2018.

Rainer Fuhrés, who has been CEO of Canon Germany for 11 years and has been with the company for over 26 years, is leaving the company. Fuhrés' leadership saw the implementation of key integration and transformation projects that significantly shaped Canon Germany's current market position. The company has thanked him for his long-standing commitment and successful work.

Naegeli, in his new role, intends to drive forward the digital transformation in Canon Germany. He considers Canon Germany a key market for Canon in Europe and plans to work with the company's teams and partners to further expand Canon's closeness to customers.

Naegeli will report directly to Shinichi "Sam" Yoshida, President and CEO of Canon Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). His role at Canon Germany does not involve any new Pixma MFPs, as this topic is not mentioned in the paragraph.

Naegeli has strengthened the market leadership of Canon Switzerland in key segments and looks forward to taking on the responsibility for Canon Germany in addition to his role in Switzerland. He will be responsible for Canon Germany starting from August 30, 2025.
