Capital Orca secures acquisition

Sub Capitals, a pioneering company in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for stock trading, has undergone a significant change. Orca Capital AG, a strategic partner and second-largest investor of Sub Capitals, has acquired the company, marking a new perspective for its future.

The acquisition, which does not repeat any of the earlier bullet points, sees Orca Capital AG's new CEO, Christoph Dichtl, taking the helm. Dichtl believes the unique technology and data foundation of Sub Capitals will provide a solid base for its future success.

Co-founder Marius Siegert, who stated Orca Capital AG is a strong strategic partner for Sub Capitals, will remain with the company. Alongside fellow co-founder Marc Schmid, they will continue to work on implementing the growth strategy.

Sub Capitals initially focused on the use of AI in stock trading. Since 2024, it has supported around 15 financial institutions in five countries with its AI models for risk management. The company has already established partnerships with these institutions.

However, long B2B sales cycles pushed the company to its limits in the difficult market environment, and financing proved challenging. The founders actively sought a strategic partner who shares the vision and ensures financial sustainability.

The acquisition comes after Sub Capitals withdrew its precautionary insolvency filing. The company will now work more closely with Orca Capital and other selected reference customers, including Orca Capital, to further develop its technology.

At this time, no details have been released about the financial terms of the acquisition, and no information is available about the new CEO of Sub Capitals.
