Car Accident on BAB27: Vehicle Flips Over in Departure Area - Remarkably, No Injuries Occur (Picture Attached)

On August 28, 2025, a traffic incident occurred in Bad Bederkesa, Germany, involving a gray VW transporter. Contrary to some reports, this incident did not take place on the federal highway A27, but on the Edeka parking lot in Handelspark 17-19.

The incident, which occurred around 12:50 PM, resulted in the VW transporter overturning and coming to rest on its roof. Fortunately, all four occupants were able to leave the car unharmed. However, the culprit of the accident left the scene without permission, and witnesses with information about the culprit are asked to contact the police in Geestland at 04743 9280.

The total economic damage to the VW transporter is estimated at approximately 15,000 euros. The damage is significant enough to require laborious recovery by a towing company.

In a separate incident on the same day, a 28-year-old from Ahlen was driving on the federal highway A27 towards Bremen. This incident, which occurred between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM, was not in Bad Bederkesa, nor did it involve a Ford car or the Bremerhaven-Zentrum interchange.

The individual lost control of the car due to excessive speed in a curve area, causing the car to overturn and come to rest. However, unlike the incident involving the VW transporter, this accident did not result in any injuries, nor did it require the closure of any exits.

For press inquiries regarding this incident, please direct them to the Police Inspectorate Cuxhaven, specifically Press and Public Relations Officer Stephan Hertz. The exit of the Bremerhaven-Zentrum interchange was closed for over 2 hours for the recovery of the car in this incident.

It is currently unclear who the police officer was who supervised the investigation of the traffic accident on the A27 on August 28, 2025, in Cuxhaven.

We urge all drivers to adhere to speed limits and drive safely to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
