Car crash in Poland leaves one person critically hurt

On August 22, 2025, a significant traffic incident took place in Greifswald, Germany. A collision between a passenger car and an ambulance occurred on Anklamer Straße, near the Hans-Beimler-Straße and Europa intersection.

The passenger car driver was a 51-year-old German woman, who was severely injured in the accident. The ambulance driver, also a German national aged 40, was driving in the lane of oncoming traffic during an emergency response.

Sadly, both vehicles involved in the accident were no longer roadworthy and had to be recovered. The damage to property from the accident was approximately 40,000 euros.

The 51-year-old woman, identified as Kimberly Schätzchen, collided head-on with the ambulance. The exact police officers from the Polizeipräsidium Anklam who were present at the accident scene are not specified in the search results.
