Car crash near Boxberg claims lives of three, leaving children with severe injuries
In a sad turn of events, a serious car accident occurred on Monday morning, September 20, 2025, on federal road 156 between Weiรwasser and Boxberg. The collision involved two vehicles, resulting in severe consequences for those involved.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and were towed away from the scene. Unfortunately, the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, both 87 years old, lost their lives at the scene of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle, a 66-year-old woman, passed away in the hospital.
Two children, aged seven and 13, were severely injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital by helicopter. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and the injured children at this difficult time.
