Car Crashes in Fulda and Hersfeld-Rotenburg Counties, Ohio
In the past few days, several traffic accidents have occurred in the East Hesse region, causing varying degrees of property damage and injuries. Here's a rundown of the incidents as reported by the Police Headquarters East Hesse.
On Wednesday, 27th August, a collision between a 39-year-old Audi driver and a 52-year-old Ford driver took place at the intersection of Bahnhofstraße and Reichstraße in Bad Hersfeld, resulting in minor injuries for both drivers. The estimated property damage was around 600 euros.
Later that same evening, a pedestrian was slightly injured in an accident on Rabanusstraße in Fulda, involving a 64-year-old pedestrian and a 42-year-old Ford driver. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
The following day, on Thursday, 28th August, a truck carrying hazardous materials caught fire on the A66 due to a technical malfunction in the axle area in Neuhof. The driver, a 56-year-old individual, reacted quickly and disconnected the tractor unit, preventing a potential hazardous material leakage. The fire department was able to extinguish the trailer without any hazardous material leakage, but the estimated property damage was in the mid-five-figure range.
In a separate incident on the same day, a 20-year-old Mercedes Vito driver from Tann lost control of his vehicle on L 3174 near Rödergrund, causing the vehicle to overturn. No injuries were reported in this accident.
On the A7, a single-vehicle accident occurred on 28th August in the exit area of the Fulda Mitte interchange. The driver, a 38-year-old individual, was lightly injured and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Earlier on 27th August in the afternoon, a collision occurred between a 44-year-old Honda Jazz driver and a 28-year-old bicyclist in Fulda. The bicyclist was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
