Carnival Operating Times Revealed

Town Hall and Library Hours Adjusted for Shrove Tuesday and Rose Monday

Residents of Schliersee, Germany, should be aware of changes to the operating hours of the town hall and library during Shrove Tuesday and Rose Monday.

Unlike a typical day, the town hall's opening hours are extended on Shrove Tuesday, with the doors opening earlier in the morning. However, the town hall closes earlier than usual on this day, with the last visitors admitted at 11 am on Shrove Tuesday, February 28, 2019. In contrast, offices close earlier on Rose Monday, with the town hall closing at 12 pm.

On both days, the library is closed, a departure from its usual weekday operating hours. The library's usual opening and closing times are not observed on Shrove Tuesday and Rose Monday. This closure is noteworthy as the library is usually open.

The county and city library is closed all day on Shrove Tuesday and remains closed on Rose Monday. This closure affects both Shrove Tuesday, February 28, 2019, and February 18, 2019, Rose Monday.

Offices throughout the town also have shorter hours on both Shrove Tuesday and Rose Monday compared to a typical day. This means that workplaces close earlier than usual on these days.

It is worth noting that on Rose Monday, February 18, 2019, the mayor, Franz Schnitzenbaumer, was operating the offices until 12 o'clock. He hosted events at the train station square from 14:00 onward on that day.
