In the heart of Hagen, Germany, a traffic accident occurred on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the intersection of Berliner Straße in Hagen-Haspe. The incident involved a Renault and a VW, causing significant damage to both vehicles, which had to be towed away.

According to the Hagen Police, the Renault was traveling towards Hagen-Mitte, while the VW was moving down Höhrdenstraße when the collision occurred at the entrance to Höhrdenstraße. Both drivers claimed to have had the green light at the time of the collision.

An independent witness reported that the Renault driver increased speed when the traffic light turned yellow and then red, attempting to pass the intersection. This account is currently under investigation by the traffic division of the Hagen Police, led by Chief Inspector Markus Lehmann.
