Casino Amberg Transforms into a Metal Concert Venue
The medieval-themed heavy metal and rock event, "Medieval Meets Metal," is set to take place at the Casino Hall Amberg on November 3rd, starting at 8 PM. Organized by the medieval rock band "Deus Vult," the event aims to strengthen the heavy metal and rock scene in the region.
The theme of "Medieval Meets Metal" is quite broad, accommodating a wide range of bands from the heavy metal and rock scene. Performers include "Trollfaust," "Vera Lux," "Harpyie," and the band that describes itself as a "rock band with medieval influences" and creates a unique atmosphere with bagpipes and the distinctive singing of Zwerg, In Extremo.
Smaller bands often find it challenging to break into the live scene due to limited opportunities for guest performances in this genre. "Medieval Meets Metal" seeks to address this issue, providing a platform for these lesser-known acts to showcase their talent.
Visitors can expect a mix of powerful rock and melodic bagpipe tunes at the event. To make the experience even more inclusive, there is a special feature for people with disabilities, offering free entry for them and one accompanying person. Registration is required via email: [email protected].
The success of the first event will determine whether the event series continues in the long term. Sven Berner, a member of "Deus Vult," explains that the goal is to make this event an annual one. Fans will have the opportunity to influence the choice of bands for future events.
Unfortunately, recent news from Germany has been overshadowed by a racism scandal surrounding the captain of the national basketball team, Schröder, who revealed public racist heckling. The German federation has announced consequences.
In other news, a car overturned on the B 85 near Amberg on Saturday evening, between Amberg-Ost and Pittersberg. The federal road is now clear. There was also an accident on the A 93 near Falkenberg, causing the highway to be closed in the direction of Hof. The highway is now open.
In a separate incident, a 37-year-old Munich woman was seriously injured in a climbing accident in the Nürnberger Land district. She was likely injured due to a mistake with her equipment and was airlifted to a hospital.
