Casino Sky River in California marks milestone with 'topping off' celebration

Sky River Casino, a tribal gaming facility in California, is set to undergo an expansion that will mark the beginning of the construction of a world-class resort. The expansion project, being undertaken by the Wilton Rancheria tribe, is a significant milestone in the casino's development.

The expansion includes the construction of a new parking garage, set to be completed in early 2026. This development will provide patrons with convenient, covered parking, marking a step forward in the casino's commitment to enhancing the visitor experience.

Raquel Williams, Vice-Chair of the Wilton Rancheria, emphasised that the expansion project is an investment in the future prosperity of the tribal citizens, the Elk Grove community, and the Greater Sacramento region. She expressed that the investment will contribute to the creation of a resort that has been collectively dreamed about.

The expansion project is part of a larger vision for a world-class resort. In addition to the new parking garage, plans for the expansion also include the development of a new Porte Cochere and the construction of an enhanced Valet service.

The planning and construction of the expanded Sky River Casino in Elk Grove is overseen by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the tribal organization that owns and operates the casino. On September 17, 2023, Sky River Casino held a "topping off" ceremony for the expansion of its parking garage, signifying a major step towards the completion of the project.

The expansion project is expected to bring about significant economic benefits for the surrounding areas. With the completion of the expansion, Sky River Casino will not only offer an enhanced gaming experience but also contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Elk Grove community and the Greater Sacramento region for generations.
