Casino venture on Long Island's Sands considers alternative developer for project

In New York City, Las Vegas Sands faces a potential roadblock in its pursuit of a casino license at the Nassau Hub. Despite earlier discussions with DraftKings, negotiations have failed to yield a deal, according to multiple sources.

With the application deadline of June 27 approaching, Las Vegas Sands is reportedly seeking another partner to take over its lease at the Nassau Coliseum site. However, one source close to the project has raised doubts about whether there is still sufficient time to secure a deal.

Previously, Las Vegas Sands had been in discussions with DraftKings regarding a potential partnership, but these talks have now ended without a successful agreement. Although Las Vegas Sands also engaged in negotiations with other companies, the major concern at present is whether it's feasible to complete a deal within the remaining deadline.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Las Vegas Sands will find a replacement for DraftKings and whether they will manage to submit a license application before the deadline.

With Las Vegas Sands facing a potential time crunch, they are scouting for a new partner to, possibly, fulfill their casino-and-gambling aspirations at the Nassau Hub. The concern arises as the casino-culture enthusiasts from Las Vegas Sands and the gaming companies might find it challenging to finalize a deal before the June 27 deadline.
