Pakistan is currently grappling with heavy rainfall that has caused flooding in several regions, including Pindi Bhattian, Wazirabad, Jalalpur Bhattian, Vehari, Muridke, and Khanqah Dogran. The accumulation of water in certain areas has led to a challenging situation.

In the northern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the flood situation remains critical. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is working closely with the local government to provide relief. As of the report on August 24, 335 people have lost their lives, and over 350 are injured.

Dr. Taimur Khan, the head of the health authority coordinating relief efforts, has reported that partially damaged are 57 health facilities, and 3 centres have been completely destroyed. To cater to the needs of those affected, a network of 3,704 medical camps and 23,566 health centres has been set up.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given directions for these operations. On Monday, a relief consignment was sent to Buner, containing tents, blankets, generators, de-watering pumps, ration bags, and medicines. The Armed Forces, NDMA, and welfare organizations are also contributing by dispatching relief supplies to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
