Catastrophic Automobile Collision Grabs Headlines in Politics Sector

The Police Authority Soest has taken over the investigation of a traffic accident that occurred on Ruhrstraße near the intersection with Hohenweg in Wickede (Ruhr) on Tuesday afternoon around 1 PM.

According to the information transmitted by the Kreispolizeibehörde Soest, the motorcyclist involved in the accident was a 57-year-old man from Ense, who sustained severe injuries. The car driver involved was a 63-year-old man from Wickede.

Tragically, the motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center in the Ruhr area by a rescue helicopter, along with the injured man. Both the motorcycle and the car involved in the accident have been impounded on the orders of the Arnsberg Public Prosecutor's Office for evidence preservation.

The car driver failed to notice the approaching motorcycle and collided with it while turning. An accident investigation team from the Hochsauerlandkreis Police Authority was deployed to document the scene for accident reconstruction.

First responders and emergency services attended to the critically injured man at the scene. The Traffic Commission of the Soest Police is now in charge of further investigations.
