Celebration of the THW Freisen's 3-year anniversary on the 28th and 29th of June is set to be a spectacular event

The town of Freisen is gearing up for a celebratory weekend as the THW Youth local chapter marks its 50th anniversary. The festivities begin on Saturday, June 28, at 7:00 PM.

Ministerin Christine Streichert-Clivot, who has taken on the patronage of the festival, is expected to be present at the event. The evening will start with music from a DJ, followed by a performance by the band AlDente, playing international pop music from 8:00 PM.

The celebrations are not just a musical affair. They are a family event, a tribute to volunteer work, technology, and community spirit. The town of Freisen is proud to celebrate THW.

On Sunday, June 29, the programme starts at 10:00 AM with a field service. A musical breakfast with the THW Federal Music Corps will take place at 10:45 AM. For hearty food lovers, pea soup with sausage or vegetarian options, and grilled meat with pasta salad, will be available from 12:00 PM. BBQ specialties are available all day without pre-ordering.

Participants in the lunch are asked to purchase food tokens in advance. These can be obtained in Freisen at Heating Installation Ralf Keller, Butcher Ralph Schumacher, and Gaststätte Das Kneipchen. County Commissioner Udo Recktenwald is expected to attend the festival, which will take place at the premises in Birgelstraße. The Federal Agency Technical Relief is also celebrating a significant milestone this year, as it marks its 75th anniversary.
